Stephen is an experienced entrepreneur and economist with over 20 established years in investments, finance, and lending. Most recently, Stephen served as Vice President at Albina Community Bank where he made loans as large as $4M to a variety of companies in the advanced manufacturing, technology, and craft beverage industries. In this role, he gained extensive experience in financial analysis, business plan due diligence, and capital-action plans. 

Alongside his role at Albina, Stephen contracted at Nike as an employee retention specialist by providing strategic assistance to area entrepreneurs. Stephen also founded the nation’s first nonprofit brewpub (Oregon Public House, Portland, OR) and is in its third year of successful operations. 

Stephen is extremely active in the Portland entrepreneur community and served on the board of directors for six area nonprofits and is a past board-chair for the Black United Fund of Oregon. Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Western Oregon University.
