Nitin is an entrepreneur. He came to Oregon as a Software Engineer at Mentor Graphics after having worked for three software startups in Silicon Valley and Seattle. Nitin utilized his background to raise $20 million in angel and venture capital for First Insight and in 2010 exited his investors via buy-back of their shares. He is currently President and CEO of First Insight Corporation, a Hillsboro, Oregon based software company which he founded in 1994. First Insight leads the eye-care industry in electronic medical records, practice management and e-commerce products for independent optometrists and ophthalmologists with its flagship product − MaximEyes.
Since 2007 Nitin has been an active angel investor, mentor and is a founding charter member and President of the Board of TiE Oregon. In this role he has grown TiE to a full-fledged angel investment group with a successful mentoring program and launched several education and incubator programs. Nitin is currently serving as TiE Angels Oregon’s Chair and in this role has led the group to over $5 million in investments in 28 startups.
Nitin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada).

Robin is a high-tech and software leader currently serving as Vice President for Strategic Growth at Socrata (Seattle, WA). Prior to this role, Robin built and led the technology and development sector at Esri (Redlands, CA), the world leader in analytical mapping technology. At Esri, Robin grew a product line from $0 to $2.9m in revenue in less than 3 years. Robin also served as COO at Geoloqi (Portland, OR) prior to being acquired by Esri.
Robin has extensive experience in telecom, mobile, and wireless semiconductor industries. Robin served as RM of Avnera’s (Beaverton, OR) audio segment, an $8M business unit at Avnera. Prior to this role, Robin headed west-coast venture investments for Motorola Ventures with early to mid-stage equity investments in the $1M-5M range.
Robin holds an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business (UC Berkley) and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Stanford University. She also serves on the board of directors for TiE Oregon.
Eric is a passionate financial thinker and has centered his career around growing things from scratch. Eric came to Oregon on a scholarship to the University of Oregon School of Law to study M&A law (April '17). Shortly after coming to Oregon, Eric joined the University of Oregon Foundation Seed Fund as a founding member and has helped lead the Fund to multiple venture financings.
Prior to coming to Oregon, Eric worked for a high-growth Sequoia and Accel funded startup doing lead sourcing and developing custom pipeline analysis tools and Sales Force dashboards. Eric also spent four years in South Korea as a student where he became fluent in Korean, and later returned as a development consultant for the University of Utah's Asia Campus. In this role he helped establish, fund, and run one of the first foreign university campuses in South Korea. During his time in Korea he co-founded a multinational entrepreneur networking organization dedicating to linking expatriate entrepreneurs with other local innovators and investors. Eric also co-founded a successful startup where men's bespoke clothing retailers could outsource part of their manufacturing to South Korean tailors in order to reduce costs.
Eric holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah, a certificate of Financial Economics from Seoul National University, and a JD from University of Oregon. As Elevate's venture principal, Eric aids in deal sourcing, investment review, dilegance, and portfolio management.
