Nitin is an entrepreneur. He came to Oregon as a Software Engineer at Mentor Graphics after having worked for three software startups in Silicon Valley and Seattle. Nitin utilized his background to raise $20 million in angel and venture capital for First Insight and in 2010 exited his investors via buy-back of their shares. He is currently President and CEO of First Insight Corporation, a Hillsboro, Oregon based software company which he founded in 1994. First Insight leads the eye-care industry in electronic medical records, practice management and e-commerce products for independent optometrists and ophthalmologists with its flagship product − MaximEyes.
Since 2007 Nitin has been an active angel investor, mentor and is a founding charter member and President of the Board of TiE Oregon. In this role he has grown TiE to a full-fledged angel investment group with a successful mentoring program and launched several education and incubator programs. Nitin is currently serving as TiE Angels Oregon’s Chair and in this role has led the group to over $5 million in investments in 28 startups.
Nitin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada).

Robin is a high-tech and software leader currently serving as Vice President for Strategic Growth at Socrata (Seattle, WA). Prior to this role, Robin built and led the technology and development sector at Esri (Redlands, CA), the world leader in analytical mapping technology. At Esri, Robin grew a product line from $0 to $2.9m in revenue in less than 3 years. Robin also served as COO at Geoloqi (Portland, OR) prior to being acquired by Esri.
Robin has extensive experience in telecom, mobile, and wireless semiconductor industries. Robin served as RM of Avnera’s (Beaverton, OR) audio segment, an $8M business unit at Avnera. Prior to this role, Robin headed west-coast venture investments for Motorola Ventures with early to mid-stage equity investments in the $1M-5M range.
Robin holds an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business (UC Berkley) and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Stanford University. She also serves on the board of directors for TiE Oregon.
As the Firm's Venture Principal, Eric is charged with deal flow management, portfolio management and fund operations. In this role Eric pushes a company from pitch to close, helps them identify and track KPIs as part of the broader portfolio, and works with portfolio companies to help identify key benchmarks and drive growth while focusing on metrics relevant to potential exits.
Eric has been an investment researcher in the Northwest for nearly 4 years, and has performed diligence on 23 seed and early-stage companies whom have collectively raised $36.5MM and have a combined market cap of $145MM.
Eric has background as an entrepreneur and as a small business owner and operator in the apparel space while living in South Korea. Prior to coming to Oregon, Eric worked in Seoul, South Korea as an operations consultant and returned to the U.S. for a brief stint at Qualtrics in business development prior to attending law school at the University of Oregon. Eric holds a B.S. in Economics with a focus in Quantitative Finance from the University of Utah; he also completed a research exchange at Seoul National University in financial economics and monetary theory. Eric is a University of Oregon School of Law Graduate (J.D. '17) where he focused his studies in M&A transactions and corporate taxation. He speaks fluent Korean.
